2% of Your Taxes – Meaningful Support
Under Slovak law, both individuals and legal entities may donate 2% of their paid taxes to non-profit organizations, civic associations, and public-benefit organizations.
These funds are used to support public-benefit activities in the fields of education, culture, sports, social welfare, or community development—at no additional cost to the donor.
We Are Applying for the 2% Tax Donation Again in 2026
The Žilina Korean Community Center began its activities in March 2025, and last year was our pilot year in which we applied for the 2% tax donation for the first time.
Despite a very tight deadline, many of you trusted us and chose to support us. Thanks to this support, we were able to start our activities from the very beginning. We are sincerely grateful.
As we literally started with no funds at all, we invested the received contributions mainly in:
the purchase of educational and teaching materials,
improving the quality of Korean language education,
expanding our book collection.
We are gradually adding new books, and we believe that within the next five years we will be able to offer high-quality popular and professional literature that will help both children and adults better understand Korean culture, traditions, and language.
What We Have Achieved Thanks to Your 2% Donation
Thanks to your support, we were able to:
open children’s courses with reduced monthly fees,
organize a very popular kimchi-making workshop that would not have been possible without financial support,
extend class time from 60 minutes to 90 minutes without increasing tuition fees,
create a more stable environment for high-quality education.
We Are a Non-Profit Civic Association
KCCZA is a non-profit civic association, and we would like to emphasize that we do not pursue profit in any form.
All donations are used exclusively for operational costs and for improving the quality of education.
At the same time, we believe that support should be mutual. That is why, in September 2025, we decided to support several families by purchasing school supplies and educational materials for them.
Being able to fully equip families with three or more children with school supplies was a beautiful and meaningful step.
On behalf of the supported families, we would also like to sincerely thank all our generous donors.
In Closing – With Sincerity and Respect
We do not wish to pressure you into donating your 2%.
Please do not prioritize us over sick children, socially disadvantaged families, rehabilitation, medical supplies, school transportation costs, or people in need of special equipment.
However, if you choose to support education, culture, and community, your 2% will greatly help us continue our work—carried out with respect, humility, and love for both culture and people.
